Jamison Cabin

Donated by Darrell Goodfellow and Sharon Jamison Goodfellow.

The Pioneer trail goes right through the Jamison ranch and the wagon ruts are still there. The Jamisons were early settlers in frontier Wyoming. Along the Bear River, near the foothills of the Uinta Mountains, this cabin was built to serve as a bunkhouse for ranch hands. It had a pot-belly stove for heat. We added a ranch style porch for your enjoyment. Inside is the real thing, furnished Mormon pioneer style with antiques and artifacts of the period. The bathroom has a stone floor with a claw foot tub. The sleeping area has a queen sized antique iron bed and a log bunk bed with a double on the bottom and twin on top. The kitchen has a hard wood floor, hickory cabinets and polished wood table top. For modern convenience, we installed a range, microwave, dishwasher, toaster and a small sink with running water.
