Donated by Darrell Goodfellow and Sharon Jamison Goodfellow.
The Pioneer trail goes right through the Jamison racnh and the wagon ruts are still there.
The Jamisons were early settlers in frontier Wyoming. Along the Bear River, near the foothills of the Unita Mountains, this cabin was built to serve as a bunkhouse for ranch hands. It had a pot-belly stove for heat. We added a ranch style porch for your enjoyment. Inside is the real thing furnished mormon pioneer style with antiques and artifacts of the period. The bathroom has a stone floor witha a clawfoot tub. The sleeping area has an antique iron bed, Queen. and a log bunk bed with a double on the bottom with hand made quilts. The kitchen has a hard wood floor, hickory cabinets and polished branwood table top. Oh but someone goofed and installed a range, microwave, dishwasher, toaster and a small sink with running water. Please forgive us.
"True Story" When homesteading the Jamisons aquired a nice new dresser with a large mirror. Carefully they transported it a long way by horse and wagon, when they arrived at their new home they unloaded the large mirrot and leaned it up afainst the house. While they were taking the dresser inside the house their billy goat came along and looked into the mirror, thinking it saw another goat it ramed it and shattered it. I'll be it had bad luck after that!
